Michael S. Marmor
Mr. Marmor is a technologist with 19 years of IT management experience both in the US and overseas. His career has been a careful balance encompassing both the highly technical, including hands-on software development, and the interpersonal, including project management of global teams.
Mr. Marmor is an experienced IT project manager, helping globally distributed development teams bring software projects from concept to market. He has worked with both commercial and humanitarian nonprofit agencies to improve project management processes and to facilitate change management. Recently, he played a key role at Catholic Relief Services, facilitating the agency transition from a traditional software development lifecycle methodology to a more modern, agile approach.
Mr. Marmor has been actively involved with the Python software development community since Python 1.5 in 1997 and has also been developing for the Microsoft platform since 1995, including extensive work with SQL Server and .NET. Recent hands-on technical projects include spearheading the design and development of a large-scale telecom-tower monitoring system which was deployed at remote tower sites across 11 states in India.
